GetCare Foundation Participates in IPA’s Empowerment and Inclusion Conference

GetCare Foundation is pleased to announce its participation in the recently concluded Empowerment and Inclusion Conference organized by Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA) under the theme “Access to Agency: Empowering Women Through Digital Inclusion.” The two-day event, held at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) from July 2–3, convened policymakers, researchers, development practitioners, and civil society organizations to explore practical solutions for advancing women’s digital and economic empowerment.
Representing the Foundation was Evans Odoom, Executive Director, who joined stakeholders in discussing how digital tools can close gender gaps in financial services, agricultural technology access, and educational opportunities.
GetCare Foundation’s presence at the conference reflects its long-standing commitment to inclusive development—ensuring that rural women farmers, young women entrepreneurs, and underserved communities are fully integrated into the digital economy. Empowerment begins with access: to information, to technology, and to opportunities that open pathways for livelihood transformation.

Key Highlights of GetCare’s Participation

  • Engaging with thought leaders in digital financial inclusion, social innovation, and gender empowerment
  • Exploring mobile-based agricultural extension tools and digital literacy models
  • Joining collaborative conversations on scaling digital tools for marginalized communities
The Foundation extends its appreciation to IPA, as well as organizing partners such as BRAC and the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) of the University of Ghana, for fostering evidence-based dialogue and cooperation.
As we return from this impactful convening, GetCare Foundation is more committed than ever to advancing initiatives that equip women and youth with the digital skills, tools, and confidence needed to thrive in an increasingly technology-driven world.
