Advancing Collaborative Discussion on the RECLAIM Initiative

GetCare Foundation recently held a strategic meeting with researchers from Wageningen University & Research to explore possible areas of collaboration under the Foundation’s RECLAIM initiative.
The discussion focused on opportunities to connect research, field implementation, and practical learning around issues of sustainable land use, ecological restoration, and responsible resource management. It provided an important platform for exchanging ideas on how research institutions and field-based organizations can work together to design and test approaches that respond to real challenges facing communities and landscapes.
As an organization committed to practical, locally grounded development work, GetCare Foundation recognizes the value of partnerships that bring together academic research and implementation experience. Through its work, the Foundation continues to engage with communities and stakeholders on solutions that are responsive to local realities while contributing to broader development and environmental goals.
The meeting also highlighted the importance of building collaboration around initiatives that are not only conceptually strong, but also capable of generating evidence, informing practice, and contributing to scalable impact. In this regard, the RECLAIM initiative presents a promising platform for dialogue, innovation, and future partnership.
This engagement contributes to the ongoing development of GetCare Foundation’s RECLAIM initiative, aimed at promoting sustainable land use, ecological restoration, and responsible resource management through field-driven and research-informed approaches.
GetCare Foundation looks forward to continued engagement and the possibility of developing collaborative pathways that strengthen both knowledge generation and practical impact in Ghana.
