The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by the United Nations in 2015, are a set of 17 interconnected global goals designed to serve as a roadmap for creating a better and more sustainable world for all by 2030.
Our Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Our work contributes directly and indirectly to eight of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) including the following;
We support diversified livelihood opportunities that increase incomes and reduce vulnerability among smallholder farmers and rural households. By strengthening community structures, we help transform local natural resources into sustainable engines of growth, job creation, and wealth.
GetCare Foundation promotes sustainable food production systems that improve productivity, strengthen food security, and reduce post-harvest losses. Through farmer training and market access, we help build resilient local food systems.
We empower women farmers through targeted training, inclusive participation, and access to productive resources. Our programs promote women’s leadership in cooperatives and agribusiness to enhance economic independence and social inclusion.
We create decent work opportunities across agricultural value chains by supporting agribusiness development, skills training, and entrepreneurship. Our interventions contribute to inclusive and sustainable economic growth in rural communities.
We promote responsible agricultural production through sustainable input use, improved post-harvest practices, and ethical value chains. This ensures efficient resource use while reducing food waste and environmental impact.
We advance climate-smart agriculture that improves resilience while actively contributing to carbon sequestration through soil restoration, tree-based systems, and regenerative farming practices. These interventions reduce emissions and strengthen long-term climate adaptation.
We promote sustainable land use practices that protect biodiversity, restore degraded ecosystems, and enhance natural carbon sinks. Our work supports regenerative agriculture while discouraging deforestation and unsustainable land management.
We work in partnership with governments, development organizations, research institutions, and the private sector to scale impact. Through collaboration, we mobilize resources, share knowledge, and replicate successful models across regions.
